Honey Bell-Bey is an Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist, youth advocate and motivational poet who employs creative arts strategies to engage youth and adults alike. She is a trainer for the Mandel Center (Case Western Reserve University) and the Cuyahoga County Youth Work Institute (CCYWI), and a master trainer for Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (ODADAS) and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) for Substance Abuse Prevention Skill Training. In 2013, Bell-Bey created a workshop series for mental health practitioners, which she has presented for mental health service providers across the country. She serves on the Evidence Based Practice-Improving Prevention Practices Board for the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.
Bell-Bey is the founder and director of The Distinguished Gentlemen of Spoken Word, a performance troupe for adolescent males that recently traveled to Paris with their character-based messages. Her greatest passion in life is witnessing youth tap into the innate talents and destinies already within.
