Michelle Medina

Title of Talk: Hippos, Measles and Smallpox, Oh My!

Subhead: Every child deserves a long and healthy life.

In her work as a pediatrician, Michelle Medina has seen the rise of vaccine skepticism among young parents. Breaking through the barrier of refusal through sympathetic and effective communication is a growing challenge among physicians. Maintaining the belief that every child deserves a long and healthy life, Dr. Medina challenges the audience to consider their own individual response to protecting children. Dr. Medina is the Vice Chair for Community Pediatrics at Cleveland Clinic – a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Academic Pediatric Association.
